i was just wondering on how much a nickel(money) weighs i searched it but i couldnt find it.
I just weighed one out to 5.04...so right around 5 grams.
It took me a little while, but I found a nickel that weighs exactly 5 grams. I use it to test the accuracy of my digital scales.
Yeah, when people try to show that their scale is to be trusted in a drug deal, "5 gram nickel" is the test to use. Wearing down of metal can reduce it's weight, and dust and grime that accumulates on it can make it heavier. I've never seen a nickel so damaged/grimey that it impacted by more than .1 before.
Most nickels should be somewhere between 4.9 and 5.1
You can also use a dollar bill, any denomination, as they weigh exactly 1 gram - always.
