Im going to start growing this spring for the first time with a buddy of mine. I was thinking of getting some seeds from nirvana and was looking at the outdoor strains and founds northern lights. would this be a good strain for beginners, were also going to be growing in woods.

Growing marijuana is wrong, and against the law. I would pick AK-48. Read the 300+ reviews for it.

If you want to use nirvana seed bank go with the Swiss Cheese strain for a first time outdoor grow although If it were my first outdoor grow I would use bag seed. However it's your's so Swiss Cheese is not very expensive and will be pretty rugged little plant however dont expect it to be the most potent stuff ever but if you do your part it sure wont be schwag thats for sure remeber a newb grower with high end seeds is like giving a porn star to a virgin - He dont know what to do with it

Good Luck and remember practice makes perfect

How much attention do you plan on giving these plants

okay thanks and i was thinking about once every week or so to check up on them, water shouldnt be an issue because the roots can go deep and the leaves cover the ground. and then should i use just a basic fertilizer or should i use ones specific to each stage of development. and i dont have to buy from nirvana, are there any other sites that are better or have a strain better suited for me that you know of? and i would get feminized seeds right?
    thanks

Get feminised seeds, It makes for an easier time later in the season..

Don't get hymalian gold, or super silver haze..The HG don't start flowering till late september, and everybody knows that the super silver haze is an 11 week flowering plant..

Also in this area you speak of you don't really need fertalizer..The ground is so fertile you could almost grow anything..

If you really want sumthing to finish quickly, I would go with an autoflower from sensi seeds, or really any other reputable company..

Another thing, y do I feel like i know this walnut character already, hmmm..

Idk I'm from the area myself so I thought maybe I knew ya...

But you can start seeds now if you want. Or you can wait..If you want them to be a foot tall by the time you plant in either march or april..The taller ur plants are when u plant them the better chance they have of surviving..

oh alright and the only issue with letting the seedlings get big is that i have 2 parents in my house haha. i could let them grow for a week or two or at least untill the true leaves are evident. ill plant my vegetable garden seeds at the same time in seed starter tray.

The problem with seed sarter trays are that the little jiffy pot, expandable pellets only let one set of leaves grow. They don't get large enough to put out a bunch of leaves..But you could always let them get as large as you can in your seed starter thing, then plant them outside in your selected plot..

Speaking of plots make sure you scope out the area before you plant just to make sure you don't get unwanted guests and such..Water them every week for the first month or so of their life outside. Then they will be large enought to support themselves..

okay and would it be beneficial at this seedling stage to put a fan on the sprouts to strengthen the stems? also is wildlife much of a factor around you? and i know of two good sections of woods but have to wait for the snow to melt and leaves come back to see sunny areas.

Wildlife nah not really, I had sum deer or sum shit eat a couple leaves of early in the year a couple years ago, then they left it alone..If you go out and visit your stuff, make sure you have to pee. It's a very easy and cheap rodent keeper away-er..Well untill it rains anyway..But usually wildlife only mess with your stuff early, once it starts to smell, the only things that eat it is grass hoppers, but they don't do much damage..

alright thanks, and how many plants do you think i can grow without being too ambitious i have another friend whos going to be my assistant kind of

I wouldn't grow with a buddy, unless hes your best friend in the world..YOu also have to give him a cut of the great bud you just grew..I would do it by urself..I would do 5 plants tops for ur 1st grow..Not all 5 will make it so, thats why I say 5..You might end up with two..I just see growing witha buddy a hassle, unless you live out in the boonies..and only discuss growing with ur buddy and NO ONE else..

okay thanks and what kind of dry yield should i expect per plant about

  15. Bud Is good

I would expect 2 oz's a plant..You will probly get alot more(depending on strain) but there are also many other factors like bud rot, how big the plants get, when they were planted, and how long you let them go before chopping..

only 2 ounces? most sites say about 400-500g per sq/m. 56 grams just seems supper low to me. what is your typical yield per plant?

Meters squre is for indoor plants using most likely 1000 watt bulbs..Theres also tons of different stuff you can do to your plants to make more tops, like most indoor growers do.. Plants can actually yeild upwards of 2 lbs outdoors..That really depends on the strain, and things I listed in my last post..

Like I said I would expect 2- 2.5 oz's and be happy when or if you yeild more than that..If you get the right strain for outdoors I would expect a pound per plant outdoors..Thats what you wanted to hear wasn't it?
