AK-47: Photos and Strain Review

4

You don’t go to a gun fight without a loaded weapon. And you can’t talk about the best strains out there without mentioning AK-47. It’s name tends to scare people, but in reality, it’s a bomb Sativa-dominant Hybrid that is the perfect medicine for those that can’t handle a full blown Sativa.

AK-47 doesn’t have the typical overwhelming fruity smell of strict Sativas. It’s got an earthy, somewhat lemony smell to it a look that is very similar to Sour Diesel, along with a light greenish/yellow tint to the leaves that’s almost luminous. AK-47 won’t wow you with purple streaks or OG womps, but it’s a more than reliable Sativa that is as steady as they come. In terms of Sativas, AK-47 is right below the Sour Diesel pedestal.

I recently picked up a batch of Ak-47 from Rite Greens the other day (among many others pre-Coachella strains), and it’s indeed quite impressive. The affect is unlike most Sativa-dominant strains, in that my heart was not pounding, my thoughts were not too racing, and I didn’t feel like the world was moving too fast around me. AK-47 (when done right) comes with very uplifting, lucid high with a surprisingly calming affect on the body.

Believe it or not, this legendary strain is found in but a meager 24 dispensaries. That needs to change, and fast. If it’s the right kind of weapon, AK-47 always brings the heat.

As always, make sure your AK-47 is fully loaded.

Each day, Marijuana.com will highlight a strain of Medical Marijuana. In an effort to show you that strains can vary much based on the environment they’re grown and what seeds are used. If you have smoked today’s strain of cannabis before, let us know what you think of it in the comments and if it looked like this.
