What if we narrowed it down to only people convicted for weed being able to smoke in prison. Does that at all change your mind about funding "criminals"?

That's like allowing arsonists to start fires. If they're going to let them do it in prison then why are they there in the first place?

Your comparing weed smokers to arsonists? Give me a break....aside from the businessman who make bank because hemp is illegal, most people are against weed cause they fear it has certain dangers and damages society. Do people really give a shit what kind of society prisons live in? Who really cares if inmates are stoned off their asses, its not like thats gonna lead to some huge prison breakout or some shit. Most inmates would probably accept the fact that their in there better than they would sober. Cannabis does nothing but relax the body and mind, and I still have yet to hear about a violent pot smoker (excluding gang members but thats completely different and irrelevant to what we're talking about). My question my friend is why do you care so much what a prisoner does? Your probably on this forum because you support weed legalization, so why would you be against someone using the most amazing thing on this planet? And lets be clear, I dont have sympathy for rapists and murderers, but for one of my best buddies that has done nothing else wrong but smoke pot? Again..give me a break...

I was just questioning the logic of allowing prisoners to do the very thing they've been imprisoned for.

Well my view is that they shouldnt be imprisoned at all for smoking pot. But we've gotta look at the reality here and that people DO get imprisoned for such a rediculous thing. All im saying is, if someone gets arrested for pot, whos to say that they cant smoke pot in prison. I mean if people kill people everyday, whats the worst pots gonna do? And dont say the munchies are gonna lead to cannibalism <---joke
